This brilliant sunset will enhance any room or wall! It is an art wall quilt hanging depicting the sunset over the Appalachian Mountains. It is done in the applique method and fused and quilted down with decorative and quilting stitches using various decorative threads and stitch patterns. It is all batik fabrics. The sun is made of manipulated Angelina fibers and quilt stitched in place. The sky and sunset are slim strips of various shades of the fabrics blended together to create the blend of colors and hues. The mountains in the front are also all batiks and padded and stitched to create the depths and texture of the rocks and hills. It is 38" wide x 24" tall and is signed and dated by me. It has a rod pocket on the back for hanging. It was created in my smoke, fragrance, and pet free studio. One of a kind!
